Saying Nothing Speaks Volumes: Our Five Fave No-Headline OOH Ads

Who knew silence could be so loud? We’ve picked five of our own OOH ads that decided to skip the headlines and let their visuals do all the talking. Turns out, when the concept is strong enough, saying nothing at all can make the biggest impact. Here are our favorites—straight from our own creative vault.

1. Coors Light

As part of their “Made to Chill” campaign, we pitched this billboard concept turning a Coors Light can into an air conditioner with blowing streamers.

2. LMC Marine Center

“Show, don’t tell,” we always say. Words wouldn’t make this billboard any better. This ad for Skeeter performance fishing boats leaves a big first impression in its wake.

3. Cheba Hut

Cheba Hut is a regional sub shop franchise in the Southwest. Their menu is riddled with hilarious cannabis in-jokes. While you might not understand why this bus shelter ad is filled with smoke, their fans would instantly get the “hot box” reference without a single word. IYKYK

4. Sun Drop

This billboard campaign reminds people that Sun Drop is as essential to summer as sunglasses, flip flops, and inflatables. Words would just get in the way.

5. Ford

When you have a unique billboard placement and spacious nature photography, let those things sing! We talked all about Ford trucks’ ability to go almost anywhere without saying a single word.

Obviously, it takes a strong brand and a damn good concept to create out of home ads with no copy. And we’re up for the challenge.
